Abstract

|
|
A crowned dens syndrome is a rare cause of acute febrile neck pain. It is radiologically characterized by periodontal calcification and frequently caused by calcium pyrophos-phate dihydrate or hydroxyapatite deposition. We described a case of a 79-year-old woman who had acute neck pain and stiffness with fever. (Clinical Pain 2014;13:26-28)
